FinTech
A calmer wealth platform designed for clarity under real financial decisions.

Most wealth products overwhelm people with charts, jargon, and competing calls to action. The work had to make complex financial information readable in seconds, while remaining accurate and secure enough for real money decisions.
The concept started from a familiar pattern: people check their finances on a phone between other tasks. The product needed to work as a daily instrument, not a once-a-month report.
We treated comprehension as the primary outcome. Every screen had to answer three questions: what is true right now, what changed, and what is the next useful action. The information architecture was rebuilt around those questions instead of around account types.
The interface uses a dark, high-contrast system with restrained purple emphasis. Charts are secondary to the number that matters. Motion is used only to confirm a change in state. Device layouts share one design system so the product feels like a single instrument.
A Next.js application sits on a Node API with PostgreSQL as the source of truth. Account aggregation, insight jobs, and notification dispatch are isolated services. Sensitive operations are explicit, logged, and separated from read-heavy dashboard traffic.
We built the product in vertical slices: overview, activity, goals, then advisory workflows. Each slice included design, API, and instrumentation so the team could evaluate usefulness before expanding scope.
Northline presents wealth as a narrative of position, movement, and next step. The platform is designed so a small product team can operate it, extend insight models, and keep the interface coherent as features grow.
